1. Chaperones for 2011 Spring Band Trip
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR NAME IS MONDAY - MAY 17, 2010*
Chaperones will be announced on Friday, May 21, 2010
Deposit for the trip is due on May 28th.

Sprayberry Band Director Mr. Esserwein is currently accepting names of band parents who are interested in being considered as a Chaperone for the 2011 trip to New York and Washington. There are limited chaperone slots available. If more parents are interested than needed, fair parameters are in place for selection.
| Chaperone Responsibilties: |
- Supervise students at all times to ensure safety and proper conduct.
- Check students in and out of hotel rooms and buses.
- Stay with the band for the entire trip.

| Chaperone Cost Info: |
- Trip cost for Chaperones is approximately half of the student trip rate - $500 (cost may adjust depending on number of students going on the trip).
- Chaperones will stay 2 persons to a hotel room.
- Trip cost is inclusive - includes all meals, activities, hotel and transportation.

- Your schedule will allow you to go on the trip April 5-10, 2011.
- You are finanically able to pay the Chaperone trip deposit by May 28, 2010.
- Your student's band fees must be current before the band trip in April 2011.

Executive Board Position
MEMBERSHIP ADMINISTRATOR
ELECTION TO BE HELD AT THE BAND BOOSTER MEETING
TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2010 - 7:00 PM - IN THE BAND ROOM |
Due to circumstances, our Membership Administrator resigned her position on the SBBA Board on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. We are currently accepting nominations by email from anyone interested in being part of the incredible SBBA Board. We will also be taking nominations from the floor at the Booster Meeting scheduled for May 18, 2010. Elections for this position will be held a the May 18 Booster Meeting. (See the By-Law excerpt below on procedures for Officer Vacancy.)
Please submit all nominations to SBBA Vice President, Cammy Farone, at vicepresident@sprayberryband.com no later than May 18th. Nominees must be present at the May Booster Meeting for the elections.
This position is an Executive Board position and this person will have access to our band database and financial information. For your reference we have listed the responsibilties for this position from the SBBA By-Laws:
Article VI
Section 6.06 Membership Administrator
The Membership Administrator (“MA”) will be responsible for organizing band registration activities, will maintain accurate information in the band database system, will become familiar with the Fundraising of the Association, will receive and post all information from the various fundraising efforts of the Association to the fundraising points accounting information system, and deliver information for the previous calendar month to the R&D Treasurer no later than the 10th of each month. |

A vacancy in the office of President will be filled by the Vice President. A vacancy in any other office will be filled by an election at the next general meeting upon the occurrence of such vacancy. A vacancy exists when any officer resigns or is recalled by the Membership.

1. Driver's license or other ID
2. Health insurance card (or a "no insurance" form will also be available)

| Drum Corps International tickets are $40 and will also be available at this last band registration. DCI is an optional field trip for Marching Band students during the summer. It is a favorite event for our students! |

HOW TO SIGN UP: Review the upcoming dates below and just click on the date(s) you are interested in working to send an email. Type the names of those in your family who would like to work and indicate if they are a student or parent. You will receive a confirmation email if you are chosen to work that game.
IMPORTANT - YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR A GAME A MINIMUM OF A WEEK IN ADVANCE. WE DO NOT ACCEPT SIGN-UPS THE DAY BEFORE A GAME.
WHAT TO WEAR: All workers are required to wear khaki (tan) pants, capris or shorts, white t-shirt and tennis shoes.
CAR POOL: A carpool leaves Sprayberry 3 hours prior to each game and will return to Sprayberry after the game.

On April 9, 2011, the Sprayberry Marching Band and Color Guard will be performing in the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D.C. We will use this wonderful opportunity as a special trip to visit two of Americaʼs most dynamic cities, New York and Washington D.C.

8. Drum Corps International Tickets Still Available
Drum Corps International (DCI) is a competition of elite drum and bugle corps that is held in the Georiga Dome. Each year we offfer this optional field trip to Marching Band and Color Guard students. The event this year is on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Tickets are $40 and includes admission and bus transportation. Several of our own Sprayberry band students are part of drum and bugle corps participating in this year's competition and this field trip is an opportunity for our Marching Band to cheer their performances.
