The Sprayberry Band is for parents too! The Band of Gold depends on parent support in several areas of the program. From direct participation in all SBBA activities, chaperoning events, moving equipment, building props parents have a vital support role with the band. Below are the areas where support is needed the most. Get signed up and help support the Sprayberry Band!
Chaperoning is one of the biggest roles a parent can fill with the band. Our "professional" chaperones are trained to offer assistance to the directors by being a supportive resource for the health and safety of the students. From supervising rehearsals, managing performances, aiding in medical issues, preparing meals, to feeding the students, the chaperones are a visible presence at nearly all Sprayberry band activities both on and off campus.
Interested in Chaperoning? Fill out the form below and we'll get you signed up.
*Chaperones must complete a background check to be cleared to work with the band by CCSD*
Can't chaperone? We can always use supplies like bottled water, medical supplies, food, snacks and equipment.

The "MIB" are the heavy lifters of the Sprayberry Band. Seen at all major band functions dressed in all black, the MIB provide the necessary transport and moving of instruments, equipment, props and supplies. Either at home or on the road, the more hands the better when it comes to moving the thousands of dollars worth of equipment for each performance.
