Students planning to join the Band of Gold Drumline must complete the audition. Any student percussionist planning to attend Sprayberry in the Fall is invited to audition. Audition information and clinic details can be found below.

Joining Sprayberry Percussion


Being a member of the Sprayberry Percussion Program can be one of the most rewarding experiences for a young percussionist. To join one of our ensembles the student will need to meet some basic performance requirements:

  • Must have an intermediate level of percussion performance experience.

    • Examples include:

      • Middle/High School Band Experience

      • Private Lesson Instruction

      • Intermediate knowledge of battery percussion: Snare Drum, etc.

      • Intermediate knowledge of keyboard percussion: Bells, Marimba, Xylophone, etc.

      • Ability to read music notation

The 2018 marching season is over, but, as always, we will have a fantastic lock-in to close out the year!  We will be partying all night long! All the kids (and parents) worked so hard and had a great marching season, and now it's time for some fun. We will be having our annual Marching Band Lock-In on January 19!

Marching Band Registration

*Secondary Registration will be held at the end of Head Start Camp on May 19th in the Sprayberry Band Room*

All Marching Band students (including Color Guard) must complete the registration process by May 28th to secure a spot in the 2017 field show. (The field show an accurate student roster once the design process begins)  

Registration is the process of committing your student to join the 2017-2018 Sprayberry Marching Band of Gold.

At registration: 

-We will collect student and parent information

-All required Cobb County School District forms

-SBBA financial commitment statement

-The required down payment

Families will also learn how parents can get involved in the Program through volunteer opportunities, fundraising, spirit wear and more! 

All Marching Band students (this includes Color Guard) are required to complete forms annually. All forms from previous years will be shredded at the end of each school year. All forms are due by the first day of Band Camp.
