Band of Gold Marching Band

The Marching Band is the most visual component of the Band of Gold (BOG). The Marching Band serves two important functions at Sprayberry High School. First, we represent the school at multiple functions per year, including all Varsity Football games, Pep Rallies and several Parades. In addition, the Marching band prepares an 8 to 10 minute competition show that is performed approximately 15 times a year at football games, competitions, and exhibitions. The Marching Band includes all instrumentalists and students in the Color Guard program.

The Sprayberry High School Band of Gold has a long-standing tradition of music excellence. The band has been awarded hundreds of championship trophies and has earned a reputation as being one of the "Best High School Marching Bands in the Country." In 2000, the band was named one of the top 20 bands in the country by "Band Director Magazine."

The marching band performs approximately 15 times a year at football games, competitions, exhibitions and parades. All of our public performances can be found on our calendar. The marching band season ranges from Mid-July to Early November.
